Ghoshal's Major Professional Contributions
Though Ghoshal authored/co-authored many books in his career, the ones which
were the most widely acclaimed include Managing Across Borders: The
Transnational Solution; The Differential Network: Organizing the Multinational
Corporation for Value Creation; The Individualized Corporation: A Fundamentally
New Approach to Management; Organizational Theory and the Multinational
Corporation; and The Transnational Management.
Ghoshal also wrote a number of
award-winning articles in Harvard Business Review. There were several critical

While Managing Across Borders focused on broader issues facing the MNCs, The

The Recognition
The years of dedicated research conducted by Ghoshal earned him widespread
recognition. He was viewed in the league of management legends like Peter
Drucker and Charles Handy.
His original thinking in management disciplines,
such as corporate strategy and globalization, made him one of the most

witnessed the arrival and quick departure of several management thinkers.
The Economist, known for its frank expression of opinion on any issue or
personality, addressed Ghoshal as 'Euro Guru'... |
